March build finally available
On Monday I have quitely enabled download of the latest build of SBS1 Utilities. I have not received any bug reports yet, so for those of you who have not checked it you can give it a go now. As promised I have prepared Linux, MacOSX and Windows builds this time.
From now on "nightly" builds will be available under the same location. These won't be truly nightly builds as I won't be making changes every day, but when there is a change, there will be a build. I won't be announcing them unless there are significant changes.
Download link is available in the SBS1 Utilities project section.
March build of sbs1xxx is almost ready
I know I promised to publish it a few days ago, but as most of you know that I'm rather busy and sometimes random things just get into my way so it had to be delayed. I've already sent out the new build for testing to a few individuals and I hope to get some feedback soon. Windows build is also coming this time, but it is not really tested.
Below is a list of changes/fixes included in the new release:
- Big Endian platforms are now supported ( ARM, PowerPC )
- Position decoding now works correctly for western parts of the world ( still hoping to get some more recordings for debugging )
- Fixed a bug in multi-threaded console syncing which might have caused a possible output data loss.
- Recordings now include endianess marker so they can be used on all platforms later on.
- Fixed data grouping/buffering problem which caused data to fall on ~ 2 second boundaries.
What's planned for the April:
- Support for newly added TIS-B / TCAS functionality - SBS1er only
- VHF/UHF radio control and decoding application for MacOSX ( Linux might come later )
- Automated nightly build system for UNIX platforms only
I'll be also working on a few ADS-B related projects but I can't say much more for now as I'm trying not to make promises that can't be kept :) not anymore...
New build coming soon
A new build of sbs1xxx will be published within the next 5 days. I have fixed a few bugs ( thanks for the reports, and sorry for not responding to every comment, email ). This time I will provide build for three platforms including Linux 32, MacOS-X Universal and Win32.
Thanks for your patience.
Windows build availability
I've received quite a few requests for the Windows build of SBS-1 Utilities. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide it at the moment as I am not at home and I do not have a working Windows development environment on my laptop. Please give me some more time until I come back to Krakow and I will try to provide it asap.
